Eddis Marie Potts Lovell

Funeral services for Eddis Marie Potts Lovell, age 96, of Statham, formerly of Clarkesville, GA, will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, July 16, 2011 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Larry Free will officiate with interment to follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Lovell passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011.

Born in Macon County, North Carolina, on March 25, 1915, Mrs. Lovell was the daughter of the late Walter Lee Potts and Sarah Hurst Potts. Mrs. Lovell was a homemaker. In addition to her parents Mrs. Lovell is preceded in death by husband Rev. Porter Lovell, sisters Maggie Raby and Annie Morgan, and brother John D. Potts.

Survivors include son and daughter in law David and Pat Lovell, Watkinsville, GA and son and daughter in law Douglas and Wanda Lovell, Temple, GA; sisters Ila Holland, Franklin, NC; Velma Estes, Toccoa, GA; Esther Seago, Longview, WA; and Alice McFalls, Marysville, WA. Mrs. Lovell is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and I great, great grandchild.

Visiting hours will be from 6-8PM on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
