Ola Mae Croft Vonier

Ola Mae Croft Vonier, age 76 of Cleveland, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the Bell Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Born in Berlin, Georgia on August 12, 1934, she was a daughter of the late James Robert and Beady Velia Strickland Croft. Mrs. Vonier was very talented in the production of handmade crafts. She also had been employed with BabyLand General Hospitalin the production of Cabbage Patch Kids. In addition, Mrs. Vonier helped construct hot air balloons for Tarp Head Balloons. She was a member of the Cleveland Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Vonier was preceded in death by her two sons, Franklin Lamar Vonier, Jr., Marcus Anthony Vonier, three brothers, Clayton, Samuel, and Ruben Croft.

Survivors include her loving husband of almost 61 years, Franklin Lamar Vonier, Sr., Cleveland, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Susan Vonier, Knoxville, TN; Ricky and Debbie Vonier, Clarkesville, GA; Wendell and Cathy Vonier, Mt. Airy, GA; Tim and Tammy Vonier, Sautee, GA; sisters, Ovelia Barrow, Barwick, GA; Doretha Beaty, Thomasville, GA; Becky Boles, Fernandina Beach, FL; brothers, Lawson Croft, Thomasville, GA; Simon Croft, Valdosta, GA; Robert Croft, New Market, VA; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Kenyon Memorial Seventh Day Adventist Church in Thomasville, GA with Elder Larry Highsmith officiating.
