Melba Hall Johnson

Mrs. Melba Hall Johnson, 92 of Oakwood formerly of Roswell, Georgia died Monday July 11, 2011 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Empire, Georgia, Mrs. Johnson had lived in the Atlanta and Roswell area for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late James William and Una Fears Hall. She was retired from the C & S Bank now known as Bank of America as an Executive Assistant. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Price of Oakwood; grandson and wife; Spence and April Price of Flowery Branch; great grandsons, Garrison, Griffin and Gavin Price all of Flowery Branch.

Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her husband, Mercer Harris Johnson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 14, 2011 at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the Northside Chapel Funeral Directors Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, 190 North Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30313.
