Margie Dalton Hooper

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home for Margie Dalton Hooper, 92, of Gainesville. Rev. Tommy Seay and Rev. James Ransom will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Born on January 24, 1919, in Cornelia she was the daughter of the late L.E. and Mary Pearl Johnson Ivie. She was member of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Liz Dalton of Gainesville, granddaughter, Dawn Hunt and husband Chris of Gainesville; great grandchildren, Sydney, Ben, Haley and Cole; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Bob Henderson of Spartanburg, S.C., brother-in-law, Porter Welborn of Demorest and a number of nieces and nephews.
