Harry Anthony Drasutis, age 41, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away following a tragic motorcycle accident over the July 4th weekend while vacationing with his family in Gainesville, Georgia. He is the son of Harry John Drasutis and Paulette Ann Drasutis of Pensacola, Florida.
He was born November 28, 1969 in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised in Pensacola, where he attended Saint Paul Catholic School and Booker T. Washington High School. While growing up in Pensacola, he developed an enduring love for the outdoors through scouting. He had a lifelong passion for hunting and developed a love of deep sea fishing with his father-in-law Preston.
After attending college in the Pensacola area, he graduated from the University of Auburn and the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama, where he earned his Juris Doctorate. He established a successful law practice in Birmingham, where he resided with his family.
A very charismatic man, Harry was blessed with the loyalty and devotion of many close friends. He was endowed with a powerful work ethic and a healthy sense of ambition, tempered by his selfless commitment to his family and his obedience to God.
A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his loving wife, the former Bethany Suzanne Lester of Gainesville, Georgia. He has two surviving children; one son, Preston Rider, and a daughter, Callie Anne. He is further survived by his parents, his sister Robin, his brothers Paul, David and Peter, his father-in-law, Preston Lester, his brother-in-law, Joe Lester, III and a host of relatives who mourn their loss and cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law Carole Ann Lester.
