Betty Langford Brown

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Betty Langford Brown, age 79, of Jefferson, who passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011. Mrs. Brown was born in Maysville, a daughter to the late Clyde and Mary Sims Langford. Mrs. Brown was the retired owner of the Brown's Family Shop in Jefferson during the late 60's and early 70's. She graduated from Young Harris College and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson. Her husband, Tubby Brown, sisters, Carolyn Martin and Lynda Morgan, and brother, Bill Langford, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Pat and Bud Healan, of Jefferson, sons, Andy Brown of Jefferson, and Phil Brown of Washington, GA, sister, Louise Langford, Hoschton, 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 3pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Hardy and Grandson, Mr. Bryan Bullock officiating.

The burial will follow in the Woodbine Cemetery with Mikey Healan, Tim Healan, Trey Healan, Bill Fulghum, Bosie Griffeth and Brian Bennett honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 6-9pm and Sunday from 12-3pm at the funeral home.
