Everett William Mayfield

Mr. Everett William Mayfield, age 81, of Commerce, GA died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Northridge Medical Center. Mr. Mayfield was born in Gwinnett County, GA to the late Rayford Gordy and Deli Rae Sewell Mayfield. He was a retired mechanic with Boyle Midway. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mayfield was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Shirley Mayfield.

Mr. Mayfield is survived by his sons, Michael Mayfield of Commerce and Charles Mayfield of Winder; sisters, Mary Adams of Duluth and Annette Allen of Norcross; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1 at 11 AM at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Freedom Church of God cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 5 to 8 PM.
