Bernard Gregory Kearney

Bernard Gregory Kearney, 78, of Cumming, GA died on June 27, 2011. Born in Amsterdam, NY he was the son of William and Harriet Kearney.

Mr. Kearney was a volunteer at Northside Forsyth Hospital, the American Legion, and his church, The Church of the Good Shepherd in Cumming, GA.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lola E. Kearney of Cumming, GA; daughter, Sheila & Robert DeFelice of Albany, NY; daughter, Susan & Joseph Finan of Melrose, NY; daughter, Ellen Kearney of Alpharetta, GA; daughter, Pamela Kearney of Troy, NY; daughter, Lorie & Steven Cipolla of Lindenhurst, IL; daughter, Mary & Andrew Burt of Sugar Hill, GA; daughter, Colleen & Trey Cordle of Lawrenceville, GA; sister, Margaret Kearney Coughlin of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Edward R. Kearney of Nashville, TN; and 12 grandchildren.

A funeral mass will held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at The Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA. Interment will follow on Friday at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The Northside Hospital Volunteer Auxillary will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Peter Raul will officiate, and Fr. Ignacio Morales assisting.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bernard's name to The Church of The Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3740 Holtzclaw Road, Cumming, GA 30041.
