Audrey Woody Tritt

Mrs. Audrey Woody Tritt, age 86, of Suches, GA, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 25, 2011, at her home with her loving family at her bedside.

Mrs. Tritt was born September 22, 1924 in Fannin County, GA. She lived most of her life in Suches, GA. Audrey and her husband, Howard, owned and operated Tritt's Country Store in Suches for over 50 years. Audrey was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Suches.

She was the daughter of the late Jack and Laura Cook Woody and was also preceded in death by brothers, Jackie Woody and Merle Woody; sisters, Mariam Cruse, Azalea Thomason, Pauline Gooch, and Ann Campbell; son-in-law, Ned White.

Audrey is survived by her husband of 70 years, Howard Tritt, Suches, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Carol and Ned Gooch, Suches, Linda White, Suches; sister, Betty Moose, Sharpsburg, GA; grandchildren and spouses, Tommy and Susan White, "Mimi" White, Patrick and Tiffany White, Laura Gooch; great-grandchildren, Hannah White, Haley White, Cameron White, and Lydia White. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Suches with Rev. Clarence Drummond officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Tritt will lay in state at the church from 10 AM until 11 AM on Tuesday, June 28, 2011.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 5 PM until 9 PM.
