Hugh Jones

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Hugh Jones, age 82, of Jefferson, who passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011.

Mr. Jones was a son of the late Emory L. and Bessie Smith Jones. Mr. Jones was owner of Jones Used Auto Parts and Recycling in Jefferson, Ga. for 60 years. Mr. Jones was a member of Union Baptist Church.



Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Lillian Varnum.



Funeral services will be Tuesday June 28, 2011 at 10AM at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Page officiating. Interment will be at White Plains Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday June 27, 2011 from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.



Survivors include his wife, Polly Neese Jones, Jefferson, Ga. sons and daughters in law, Tommy and Brenda Jones of Jefferson, Ga. and Gary and Paige Jones of Jefferson, Ga. daughter and son in law Helena and Clay Dale of Jefferson, Ga. a brother Edward Jones of Commerce, Ga. 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.



Pallbearers will be Mike Varnum, Russell Varnum, Tracy Jones, Joe Jones, Bob Snipes and Pat Quinn.
