Andre Fitzgerald Jones
Obituary Date: Wednesday, June 22, 2011
Andre Fitzgerald Jones, born May 15, 1969, of Roswell, Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, after suffering a brain aneurysm. With his devoted wife Michele, Andre's greatest achievement in life was raising six beautiful children: Kerry (23), Tai-ler (19), Malachi (17), Dacia (15), Jahmai (13), and Jayla (9). Andre touched many lives and made life-long friends with people from all walks of life, young and old. He was always willing to feed someone, lend a hand, give sage advice, offer unconditional support and love to anyone who needed a helping hand or a friend. A member of the 1988 National Championship Football Team from the University of Notre Dame, Andre relished his alma mater, his classmates (1991) and his teammates. Andre burnished his academic credentials with an Executive MBA from Georgetown University. He was a member of Free Chapel of Gainesville, Georgia pastored by Jentzen Franklin and CrossPointe Community Church led by Pastor Mike Deese.
Andre is also survived by his mother, Aubrey Fitzgerald Jones of Danville, Virginia and his brother, Clarence Jones, of Gig Harbor, Washington. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 5 p.m. at the Roswell Presbyterian Church, 755 Mimosa Blvd., in Roswell. The family will receive friends at the church from 3 p.m. until the hour of the funeral. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to the Memorial Account for Andre F.
