Mrs. Gladys Rakestraw Osborne , 89 of Gainesville, Ga. passed on June 22, 2011. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 1:00pm at Cross Plains Baptist Church, 3230 Cross Plains Road Gainesville, Ga. 30507. Rev. Larry Devers Pastor/Officiating, Pastor Clinton Potters, Eulogist. Interment Cross Plains Cemetery. Remains placed in state 12:00 noon.
Visitation Sunday, June 26, 2011 , 1:00-8:00pm at Young's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7pm to 8pm .
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. & Mrs. Adicus and Sarah Rakestraw and her husband Mr. Ozell Osborne.

Survivors Include:
Sons: Leon (Tanger) Osborne, Odell (Leona) Osborne, Lamar (Patricia) Osborne, Leonard Osborne, Michael Osborne and Maurice (Martha) Colson.
Daughters: Helen Osborne, Edna Young, and Jacqueline Bromell
Sisters: Viola Jones and Lois Rakestraw
Eighteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. A very special granddaughter which was her care giver, Angela Ricks , a host of other family and friends.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:00noon on Monday, June 27, 2011.
