Ida Mildred Pruitt

Ida Mildred Pruitt, age 58 of Homer, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at a private nursing facility.
Born in Jackson County on February 16, 1953, she was the daughter of Virginia Poole Pruitt and the late J. W. Pruitt. Miss Pruitt was retired from Fieldale Farms and was a member of Charity Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her father, Miss Pruitt was preceded in death brother, Jerry Pruitt; sister, Marion Pritchett; brothers-in-law, Herbert Bray and James Pritchett; nephew, Lacey Pruitt.
Survivors include her mother, Virginia Poole Pruitt of Homer; brother and his friend, James Pruitt and Kathy Freeman of Baldwin; sisters and brothers-in-law; Chris and Harry Dietrich of Homer, Carolyn and Eugen Eckstein of Maysville; sister-in-law, Louise Pruitt of Commerce, she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Elder Paul Bryson, Rev. Vaughn Howington officiating. Interment will follow in Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Barry Bray officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.
