Paul Garrison

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00a.m. Monday June 20 in Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Paul Garrison age 83 of Gillsville. The Rev. Bradley Elliott and Rev. Paul Morris will officiate. Interment will follow in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 10:30 to 11:00 in the Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Garrison entered heaven on June 18.

Paul was a lifelong member of Gillsville Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #352 in Lula where he served in numerous positions including Grand Master. He recently received his 50 year pin and apron for faithful service. Paul was a General Motors employee, a poultry grower, carpenter, electrician and business owner.

He is survived by his Wife, Mildred Taylor of 61 years, Daughter Pamela Ann Garrison, Daughter and Son-in-law, Paula and Ron Whiting, Grandson and Family, Chris, Deena, and Alexandria Whiting, Grandson and Family, Shannon, Cortney, Daniel and Kaitlyn Whiting all of Gillsville, Brother Ed Garrison and Sisters, Betty Jo Evans and Ruby Bennett.
