Emma Joann Whisnant

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Emma Joann Whisnant, 51, of Pendergrass who passed away at the Athens Regional Medical Center early Monday evening. Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of James Whisnant and the late Dovie Chrisley Whisnant. Survivors, along with her father, include a daughter, April Trammel of Athens; siblings, Steve Whisnant of Pendergrass, Larry Whisnant of Jefferson and Jamie Brown of Commerce; 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Loy Reed, Steve Whisnant and the Rev. Bo Whisnant officiating. Interment will follow in the Oconee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m.
