Linda Davis Long

Linda Davis Long, 67, of Dawsonville passed away Monday June 13, 2011 at her residence following a sudden illness.

Born September 4, 1943 in Hueytown, Alabama to the late Bernard K. "Konk" and Helen Davis, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 15 years having moved from Doraville. Mrs. Long retired as a Customer Service Representative with Sawnee E.M.C. after 15 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith and possessed a great love for gardening and her flowers. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Davis.

Surviving are her husband, Laddie H. Long, Dawsonville; daughter and son in law, Tracy and Kevin Diver, Dawsonville; stepson and daughter in law, Michael and Caron Long, Jefferson; and her devoted Maltese, Little Buddy.

Memorial services will be held Saturday June 18, 2011 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charles Blackstock will officiate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
