Eula Mae Dorsey

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Eula Mae 'Nanny" Dorsey, age 81 of Cleveland. Mrs. Dorsey passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Monday, June 13, 2011 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Dorsey was born in White County on April 23, 1930 to the late Pledger Boggs and Vernie Armour Boggs. She was a homemaker and is preceded in death by her husband Billy Dorsey, sons, Michael Dorsey and Keith Dorsey as well as brother Paul Boggs and grandson Brandon Young . Mrs. Dorsey was a longtime member of Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Daniel and Nancy Dorsey, Sylvester, Georgia; Wayne and Shannon Dorsey, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Billie and Herman Thomas of Cleveland; Lydia and Tim Biggers, Bryson City, N.C.; brother, Ivan Boggs, Demorest; brother and sister in law, Jimmy and Ann Boggs, Demorest; sister, Joanne McIntyre also of Demorest. Mrs. Dorsey is also survived by her 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 to 9 pm. Flowers will be acknowledged or memorial donations to the Brandon Young Foundation, 3558 Hwy 115 West, Cleveland, Georgia 30528
