Dorothy Crow Erwin

Dorothy Crow Erwin, age 86, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011, at Habersham County Medical Center.

Mrs. Erwin was born on February 23, 1925, in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Marion and Pauline Woodall Crow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claud Erwin; son, Steve Erwin; and grandson, Matthew Erwin. Mrs. Erwin was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lenoria and Earl Helton, Cornelia, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Glenda Erwin, Cleveland, GA; daughter-in-law, Charlene Erwin, Demorest, GA; sister, Alma Partridge, Cornelia, GA; brother, James "Pete" Crow, Clermont, GA; step-brother, Olin Manley, Piedmont, SC; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Free and Rev. Paul Morris officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Denver Kimbrell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
