Doris "Dot Dot" Williamson

Doris "Dot Dot" Williamson, age 84, of Gainesville, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, June 06, 2011 following an extended illness.

Mrs. Williamson was born May 3, 1927 in Gainesville, GA to the late Henry and Nora (Reed) Ash. She worked at the United Postal Service having worked both in Gainesville and Smyrna. She also had worked at the Roses Dime store for 19 years. She and her husband, Elbert were longtime members of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church before moving their membership to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. "Dot Dot" was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother but most of all she loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life accordingly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Williamson, brothers and sisters, Paul Redmond, Bob Redmond, Nell Redmond Falls, Lloyd Ash, Boyd Ash, Louise Ash Maddox.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Wendell Kinsey of Gainesville; granddaughter, Cindy Thompson of Cleveland, granddaughters and husbands, Lynn and Kenny Sizemore of Flowery Branch; Wendi and John Wayne Abernathy of Lula; Tiffani and Lee Wallis of Villa Rica; great-grandchildren, Kacey Cox, Adam Thompson, Corban and Cameron Sizemore, Lauren Abernathy, McKinsey and Mallory Wallis; sister, Lillie Mae Campbell of Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah and Dean Smith of Gainesville; and Carolyn and Bob Hamrick of Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 08, 2011 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Jeff Worley and Reverend Greg Worley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, June 07, 2011 at the funeral home.
