Ralph Frederick Burson

Ralph Frederick Burson age 81 of Gainesville passed away June 2, 2011 at Limestone Heritage.



Mr. Burson was born in Oxnard, CA on Feb. 23, 1930 to the late Ralph Emerson & Bertha Roenicke Burson. He was a rancher; he owned & operated a Citrus Ranch. Fred was past owner of Tam'O Shanter Liquors in Ventura, CA and former owner of Double D Trout Farm at Lake Lanier. He served his Country in the United States Army having fought in the Korean War. Mr. Burson was a member of the Mens Garden Club, past member of the Gainesville Rotary Club, and the Ventura Rotary Club. Mr. Burson attended Harvard Military School in Los Angeles California, Ventura College in Ventura, California and Cal Poly College in San Luis Obispo, California. He also was a member of the Shriner's Club, and the Masonic Stone Lodge #713. Mr. Burson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gainesville.



Survivors include, wife, Peggy Burson of Gainesville, sons, William David Burson & Gregory Lee Walker both of Gainesville, sons & daughters in law, Darrell W. & Mary Walker of Gainesville, Douglas L. & Antoinette of Gainesville, daughter, Sharon D. Walker of Gainesville, grandchildren, Logan Walker, David Walker, Jared Walker, Cory Walker, Megan Walker, Sarah Walker, Jessica Walters, Justin Taylor, & Jessica Hewell, 4 great grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held 2:00p.m. Sunday June 5, 2011at the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Fields & Dr. T. Richard Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with full masonic honors.
