Lissie Lurline Mitchell, 82, of Oakwood passed away Friday May 27, 2011 at her residence following a sudden illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 31, 2011 at 4:00pm from the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2pm-4pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Jefferson on May 19, 1929 to the late Emory and Dora Wilbur Nix Mitchell. She was retired from Chicopee Manufacturing, and was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mitchell.
Survivors include, son and daughter in law, Cedric & Sharon Mitchell of Flowery Branch, granddaughter, Krystina Kelley of Oakwood, grandson, Anthony Holland of Flowery Branch, great granddaughter, Aerith Kelley of Oakwood, nephew, Teddy Parker of Winder, longtime childhood friend, Uline Wilson.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
