Betty Ann Booker Stancil

Betty Ann Booker Stancil, 68, of Royston, GA, formerly of Dawsonville, passed away Saturday May 21, 2011 following an extended illness.

Born January 23, 1943 in Roswell, GA to the late Robert and Emma Booker, she had lived in Royston since 2006. A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed at Sweet Orr. Mrs. Stancil was also preceded in death by a husband, James Wilburn Freeland; son, James W. "Jamie" Freeland, Jr.; and brother, Jack Booker.

Surviving are her children, David Ronald Freeland, Royston, Robert Keith Freeland, Dawsonville, Kathy Freeland, Dahlonega; sister and brother in law, Sara Jane and Guinn Barber, Roswell; brothers and sisters in law, Charles and Elaine Booker, Roswell, Jimmy Bettye Booker, Roswell; nine grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

Memorial services will be held Saturday June 4, 2011 at 1 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Milton Boy Chester will officiate.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon.
