Nancy Anne Pines

Nancy Anne Pines, 62, of Ellijay, Dawson County, passed away Friday May 20, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness.

Born June 24, 1948 in Syracuse, NY, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 7 years having moved from West Palm Beach, Florida. She retired from the Palm Beach County State Attorney General's Office. Ms. Pines worked to establish programs to provide financial assistance to battered women and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. She was preceded in death by her father, William John Kitchen.

Surviving are her companion, Albert J. Katren, Ellijay; children, Alan Edward Erisman, Atlanta, Kimberly Anne Erisman, Dawsonville, Christopher Patrick Poore, Ellijay; mother, Freda Fay Eveleigh, Ellijay; granddaughters, Kristina E. Erisman, Elizabeth A. Erisman, Haley E. Erisman, Emily A. Poore; aunt, Janice M. Freeman; six sisters, two brothers, and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be held Monday May 23, 2011 at 7 p.m. at McKees Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Sven Mossinger will officiate.
