John Henry Little

Mr. John Henry Little who resided in Gainesville, Georgia was born on December 11, 1917 died Monday May 16, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

John Henry was retired from the state and had lived a full life of 93 years. He loved to travel and was proud to have visited all fifty states but one!

John Henry was a hard worker who loved being outdoors and in his garden, loved to hunt and fish and was always willing to tell stories of all the places he had been and things he had done.

John Henry is survived by his wife of 70 years, Evelyn Little, son Rogers Little and wife Donna Little; son Randall Little and wife Judy Little; daughter, Rita Quillian; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Jack Little and sister, Dorothy Sailors.

Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday May 18, 2011 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Henry Loggins and Rev. Dean Bryant will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday May 17, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
