Anne McConnell Elliott

Mrs. Anne McConnell Elliott age 85 of Cleveland passed away Saturday May 14, 2011 at Gateway Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Elliott was born in Tampa Florida the daughter of the late Judson and Marianne Strauss McConnell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Franklin Elliott Sr. and brother, Thomas McConnell. Mrs. Elliott was a retired school teacher with the White County School System where she taught for 22 years. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters and sons in law, Jan and Ray Turner, Chattanooga, TN, Nancy and Dan Aiken Helen; sons, Tom Elliott, Bill Elliott, both of Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Claud Jr. and Noreen Elliott, Cleveland; grandchildren, Kevin Turner, Chattanooga, TN, Jessica Latty, Clermont, Sara Elliott, Athens, Jim Aiken, Helen, Noah Elliott, Cleveland, Jacob Elliott, Dahlonega, Le'Anne Elliott, Cleveland.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 17, 2011 at Friendship Baptist Church. The Rev. Dave Fortner and the Rev. Joey Pritchett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lawrence Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
