Allene Martin Haygood

Allene Martin Haygood, age 86, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Allene was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Canton. She was employed by Sears for 42 years as an accountant. Allene loved gardening and working in her yard. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Eugene Haygood and her son, Jerry Haygood.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Paulette and David Castleberry; daughter-in-law, Dee Haygood, all of Canton; grandchildren, Amy Noelle Haygood of Canton, Misty Sturm of New York, Mark Castleberry of Dunwoody and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the chapel in Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Mulkey and Rev. Carl Leach officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at the funeral home.
