Wayne Spafford Austin

Wayne Spafford Austin, age 84 formerly of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, May 07, 2011 at Saint Joseph's Hospital following an extended illness.



Private graveside services are scheduled for Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00am in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Larry Rary will officiate.



Mr. Austin was born June 5, 1926 in Boynton Beach, Florida to the late Charles A. and Isabell Spafford Austin. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Norma Dietz Austin; brothers, Bernal, Donald, Howard, DeWayne and Marvin; sisters, Faye, Doris and Marilyn. He was a retired farmer and of the Seventh Day Adventist faith.



Mr. Austin is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Donald Klasing of Chattanooga, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Mark Staton of Flowery Branch; granddaughter and husband, Kelly and Rob Dunn of Riverside, CA; grandson and wife, Brian and Melanie Klasing of Collegedale, TN; granddaughter, Stephanie Pritchard of Pflugerville, TX; grandson and wife, Wes and Louqueta Staton of Flowery Branch; grandson and wife, Shawn and Donna Staton of Jefferson, GA; great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Renee Dunn of Riverside, CA; great-grandson, Brett Klasing of Collegedale, TN; great-granddaughter, Morgan Klasing of Collegedale, TN; great-grandson, Tyler Pritchard of Pflugerville, TX; great-granddaughter Sydney Pritchard of Pflugerville, TX; great-grandson, Jeffrey Staton of Flowery Branch; great-granddaughter, Emma Marie Staton of Jefferson, GA; great-granddaughter, Rylee Ann Staton of Jefferson, GA; brother, Wiley Austin of Collegedale, TN.
