Richard "Rick" Allen

Richard "Rick" Allen, age 54 of West Valley City, Utah, passed away on April 25, 2011 after a 15 month battle with prostate cancer.

Mr. Allen was born October 26, 1956 in Smyma, TN to the late Jack and Marie Barron Allen. He was a graduate of North Hall High School in 1975; he owned and operated "The Sign Guy" in West Valley City, Utah. Rick was a motocross enthusiast and attended Life Church in West Valley City, Utah.

Survivors include his wife, Christina of Sandy, Utah, daughter, Abby (16) of West Jordan, Utah, sisters and brothers-in-law: Carol and Bruno Landou of Elmhurst II; Linda and Roger Fitzpatrick of Cleveland, GA; sister, Cathy Dunnington of Mt. Prospect II; nephews, Ryan Hulsey, Zach Hulsey, Ian Dunnington, and John Landou.

He donated his body to the University of Utah for cancer and orthopedic research.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2011 from the Life Church 3800 West 4700 South, West Valley City, Utah (801-968-3715).
