Michayla Lynne Staton

Ms. Michayla Lynne Staton, age 15, of Nicholson, GA died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at her residence. Ms. Staton was the daughter of Casey (Sharan) Staton of Athens and Deborah Scogin (Lewis) Ward of Nicholson. She was a student at East Jackson High School.

In addition to her parents Ms. Staton is survived by her brother, Dylan Staton of Athens and sister, Victoria Ward of Nicholson.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Saturday, April 30 at Nicholson Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Chalker and Rev. Blake Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Patterson-Scogin Cemetery in Colbert. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 6 to 9 PM.
