Stanley Eldean Wilson

Mr. Stanley Eldean Wilson, age 69, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at his residence following an extended illness.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Darrin Cain officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 pm Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilson, one of ten children, born in Dawson County, Georgia to the late Rufus Wilson and Elda (Gurney) Wilson. He enjoyed coaching baseball and also was an owner for his own stockcar racing team. He was the founder and co-owner of Wilson ~ Fortner Electric. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth, Bobby and Junior Wilson; sisters, Lavera Chapman, Geraldine Burt and Broncile Warren.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Margie (Allen) Wilson, of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Delena Wilson of Gainesville; and son, Jeff Wilson also of Gainesville; grandchildren, Alie Evans, Taylor Wilson, Maggee Wilson, Jakson Wilson, Adam Wilson and Cooper Wilson; great-granddaughter, Addison Lemming; brothers, Homer Wilson and George Wilson, both of Gainesville; and one sister, Betty Abbott of Cumming.
