Irene Puckett Lloyd

Mrs. Irene Puckett Lloyd, 93 of Gainesville died Sunday April 17, 2011 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A life long resident of Gainesville, Mrs. Lloyd was the daughter of the late Arnold and Lou Spain Puckett. She was a homemaker and had also worked for the Osborne Mills for a number of years. Mrs. Lloyd was a survivor of the Tornado of 1936 in Gainesville, and was very active with the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church on Green Street where she also was a member of the T. Richard Davis Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her son, Jim Lloyd, Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law; E.W. and Ruth Puckett; Gainesville. Mrs. Lloyd is prceeded in death by her husband, Mr. Frank Lloyd.

Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday April 20, 2011 at the Alta Vista Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Bill Coates and the Rev. Dr. T. Richard Davis will officiate.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Ministry of Caring, First Baptist Church 751 Green Street, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
