Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Montine Stowe Wade, age 81, of Cleveland. Mrs. Wade passed away Friday, April 15, 2011, at her residence following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Wade was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Jackson County to the late Hubert Stowe and Hattie Barrett Stove. She was a homemaker and had lived in Cleveland since 1980.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Qullian Wade; brother, Willard Stowe; and grandson, Billy Joe Hardy.
Survivors include her son, Buddy Byron Wade of Cleveland; daughters and son-in-law, Mildred and Ernest Gibson of Commerce; Delores and Jeffery Cates of Cleveland; Mozelle and Jeff Simpson of Gillsville; daughters, Blanch Wade of Cleveland, Carolyn Peters of Dahlonega; brothers, Jewell Brown of Braselton, Violia Jordan of Homer; 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Alexander Funeral Home, 2721 Highway 129 South, Cleveland.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Wade and Jordan Cemetery in Alto with the Rev. Craig Hubbard officiating.
