Frank B. Youngblood

Obituary Date: Thursday, April 7, 2011
Surrounded by his loving family, Frank B. Youngblood, of Gainesville, Passed peacefully to his eternal life April 7, 2011. Frank was born January 14, 1928 in Cumming, Georgia to Effie and Huel Youngblood. Frank was preceded in death by his Mother, Effie Mae Nuckolls Youngblood; Father, Huel Hill "Papa Dave" Youngblood of Chestnut Mountain, Wife Bernice Virginia "Jinx" Hulsey Youngblood, Gainesville, Sister Helen Youngblood Sosebee Pelot, Canton.

Frank was a born again Christian
Frank served as a Sharpshooter in the United State Army in 1946
Frank's expertise for "making a profit" began at the early age of 12. Hired to deliver Grit newspapers, Frank "sub-contracted" friends to deliver the papers, still making a profit for himself. Buying, Selling and Trading real estate was another one of Frank's many passions in life. He established and owned the Cherokee Land Company and A-1 Bonding Company. He owned Home Sewing Machine Center, also selling TVs and Stereos. Phone calls continued after retirement from people wanting him or his guidance on repairing their sewing machines. Frank was also instrumental in establishing consumer loan companies throughout Georgia and southern Tennessee. Leader Loan Company, located in Gainesville, was his last big endeavor before retirement in 1993. Frank's retirement did not stop him from having a very fruitful fulfilled life. His Golden Years were filled with love, peace, joy and comfort from his family and devoted English bulldog Tug. Frank was a very intelligent successful business man, full of wit and humor. Sharing his knowledge and wisdom with his family and friends, FBY's legacy will be truly honored and carried on by those who loved him. There will never be another "Frank". Many lives have been touched and blessed by the presence of Frank. A physical part of our lives will be empty until the day we meet again in heaven.
Frank is survived by his wife, Wanda Crumley, Gainesville; Son Preston Youngblood, Dawsonville; Step-son and wife Johnny Paul and Lori Parker, Gainesville; Grandsons JohnRoss Tyler Youngblood, US ARMY (Afghanistan); Lex Parker, Gainesville; Granddaughter Taylor Parker, Gainesville; Brother-in-law and wife Jackie and Judy Crumley, Alto; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be Saturday April 9, 2011 from 6 to 8 at Ward's Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Sunday April 10, 2011 at Alta Vista Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers Donations may be made to the American Heart foundation American Kidney Foundation or Hospice of N.E. GA. Medical Center. Arraignments by Ward's Funeral Home 758 Main Street.
