Lois Jean Hughes

Lois Jean Hughes, 78, of New Port Richey, FL passed away on April 6, 2011. Born in Detroit, MI she was the daughter of the late Victor and Esther Sundquist. She was predeceased by her son, James Lane and sister, Marilyn Sasina.

A published author, Mrs. Hughes fulfilled her dream with the book, "In God's Hands." She was an honorary lifelong member of the Red Hat Society. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed making dolls.

Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband of 50 years, Donald Eugene Hughes of New Port Richey, FL; son, Ken (Edie) Lane of Cumming, GA; daughter, Tina (Lawery) Murray of Macon, GA; son, John (Diana) Hughes of Del Ray Beach, FL; sister, Sharon Sundquist of Detroit, MI; grandchildren, Angel, Bryan, Bobby, Dustin, Heather, Analea, Lawery, Kendall, Alana; and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
