Garnetta Reagan Fields, 50, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday April 3, 2011 at her residence following a sudden illness.
Born September 11, 1960 to the late Edward and Fannie Reagan, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed by the Dawson County Sheriff's Office, the Forsyth County Solicitor's Office, the Dawson County Clerk of Courts Office and was a bus driver for the Dawson County School System. Garnetta possessed a great love and devotion for music. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale Reagan.
Surviving are her husband, Ronnie Fields, Dawsonville; children, Gary Wayne and Denise Proctor, Roanoke, VA, Josh Proctor, Dublin, Logan Proctor, Dawsonville, Christy Fields, Gainesville; grandchildren, Gary Wayne Proctor, II, Roanoke, Carly Layne McAtee, Gainesville; sisters and brothers in law, Kathryn and Elmer Smith, Dawsonville, Barbara and Steve Kuhn, Greer, SC, Carolyn and Dorsey Sweatman, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, Garland Reagan, Dawsonville, Steve and Ann Ragan, Ball Ground, Howard Reagan, Dawsonville, Marshall and Elaine Reagan, Dawsonville, Butch and Shelia Reagan, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday April 7, 2011 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Terry Cowart, Rev. Gary Keown, Rev. Johnny Eubanks and Rev. Hamp Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow in the Ophir Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
