Mrs. Alice P. Robinson of Flowery Branch, GA died April 1, 2011 at New Horizons North Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Alice was born in Turner County, GA the daughter of Ira and Ida Goff Pittman. Although she loved to travel and has lived in various states including Hawaii, Utah and several southeastern states, Georgia was always home. Her employment was primarily with the Federal Civil Services where she worked as a highly valued secretary.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years; Charles M. Robinson of Flowery Branch, son; David H. Bevel of Lawrenceville, sister and brother-in-law; June and Bill Roberts of Lavonia, LA, grandchildren; Charles Eric Bevel and his wife Jean, Ryan Bevel, Aimee Riddle, great grandson; Austin Riddle, brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Les and Callie Robinson of Palm Harbor, FL, brother-in-law; Robert A. Porter of Savannah, many nieces and nephews and her best friend for many years; Wilma Haney of Flowery Branch.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Ira and Ida Goff Pittman, her brother; Jim Warren Pittman of Albany and sister Florence Porter of Savannah.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, April 3, 2001 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Gainesville with Rev. David Beville officiating. Following the service a reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Monday, April 4, 2011 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery near Ashburn, GA.
