Wilma Annette Westberry Turbeville

Wilma Annette Westberry Turbeville, 71, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at her home in Murrayville, GA, surrounded by those who loved her.


Wilma lived each day of her life making the most of every circumstance, finding joy in everything and devoted to her husband, family and friends. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

Wilma was born on August 21st, 1939 in Bare Beach FL. She was the seventh child of Lawrence C. and Elsie Grace Waldron Westberry.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Carl Turbeville, Son and Daughter in law, James and Sandy Turbeville, Winder, GA. Daughter and son in law, Craig and Sherri Turbeville Woody, Murrayville, GA. Daughter and son in law, David and Pamela Moyers, Huntsville, AL. 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. Sisters, Stella Rowden, Gainesville, GA. Geraldine Loggins, FT. Myers FL, Sondra Snow, Danielsville GA, Joy Kidd, Lake Worth, FL. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives as well as, special friends, Carolyn Murphy, Nell Olyarchik and Edna Bosarge. Also surviving is "Buddy" her beloved Boston Terrier.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Joey Karl Turbeville, Clermont, GA and her daughter in law Antionette Register Turbeville, Gainesville, GA

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 11 AM until 2 PM, at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA. with the memorial service immediately following. Rev. Curtis Moose will officiate.

The service will be followed by a time of fellowship at The River Community Church in Murrayville, GA.

The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the caring, compassionate staff of NGHS Hospice for their excellent standard of care of our loved one.
