Dorothy Jean Martin

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Ms. Dorothy Jean Martin, age 60 of Cleveland. Ms. Martin passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, March 26, 2011 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Connor and Rev. Barry Sykes officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in East Point.

Ms. Martin was born on August 19, 1940 to the late William Reed Martin and Delitha Cash Martin. She was a retired machine operator for Anchor South and had lived in White County since 1987, moving here from East Point, Georgia where she was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Chastity and Michael Ritenour of Cleveland, brother, Ray martin, Rex, Georgia; sisters and brothers in law, Deliah and Bill Holbrook, Lawrenceville and Katherine and Jody Davis of Cleveland. Ms. Martin is also survived by her grandson, Roger Ritenour as well as a number of nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 9 pm.
