Walter Lynn, Jr., 77, of 5 Shrevewood Drive, died March 22, 2011 at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.
A native of Jefferson, Georgia, son of the late Walter Lynn, Sr. and Inez McGee Lynn, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a retired employee of Textron, and a member of Lee Road Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Wilson Lynn of the home; a daughter, Judy Lynn DeGeiso of Wilmington, Delaware; three sons, Michael Wilson Lynn of Lusby, Maryland, and Walter Richard Lynn and Jonathan James Lynn both of the home; a sister, Marie Lynn Smallwood of Conway; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Todd Stewart, Rev. Otis Darnell and Rev. Queon Smith.
Visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Dry Pond United Methodist Church, Maysville, Georgia with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Burial will be in Dry Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the home.
