Theodore Calvin McCall

Theodore Calvin McCall, 85, of Gainesville, GA, died Friday, March 18, 2011 following an extended illness. Born on March 6, 1926, Ted was the son of the late Sam and Eula McCall of Cottonwood, AL.


Mr. McCall lived in the Gainesville area since 1962; he retired from Fieldale Farms as a charter employee. He graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in Agriculture. He also served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.


In addition to his parents Mr. McCall is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Hare McCall; brothers, Edward McCall and Earl McCall.


Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry W. and Margaret McCall of Gainesville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Chuck Massey of Norcross, GA; grandchildren, Stephanie McCall and Jeremy McCall both of Gainesville, GA and Jeremy's wife Stephanie; sisters and brother-in-law, Lonnell and "Bill" Clark of Austell, GA, Sara Pitts of Cottonwood, AL and Patty Sue Fowler of Dothan, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Sammy and Eleanor McCall of Dothan, AL, other relatives and friends.


A gathering of family and friends will be held in Mr. McCall's honor on Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Little & Davenport Funeral Home.
