Mollie Russell Mathis

Ivie Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Mollie Russell Mathis, age 88, of 256 Webbs Creek Rd., Commerce, who passed away at her residence Monday morning. Mrs. Mathis was the daughter of the late Ben Lee Partin and the late Emma Gunter Partin. She was predeceased by two husbands, the late James Henry Russell and the late Woodrow Mathis.
Mrs. Mathis is survived by 4 sons, Junior (Evelyn) Russell of Blairsville, Thomas (Betty) Russell of Oakwood, Arra Russell, Commerce and William Russell of Pendergrass, 2 daughters, Edna Mae (Corbet) Bingham of Commerce and Emma (Dee) White of Andrews, N.C., one sister Roberta Hughes of Cumming, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Mollie Russell Mathis will be on Wed. March 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. at the Belle View Church Cemetery in Murphy, N.C. Visitation for Mrs. Mathis will be Tuesday evening from 7-9 in the funeral home.
