Steve V. Crane

Funeral services for Steve V. Crane, age 57, of Clarkesville, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Pastor Mike Franklin will officiate with interment to follow the service in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Crane passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011.

Born in Newton, North Carolina on December 30, 1953, Steve was the son of Marvin "Tookie" and Doris Burgess Crane. Steve was the owner and operator of the GTX Service Center in Clarkesville and he was an avid car owner and collector. Steve enjoyed NASCAR racing and collectibles and he also enjoyed fishing. Steve was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, and he will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Steve was of the Baptist faith and he attended The Torch Worship Center.

Survivors include his wife of Debbie Martin Crane of Clarkesville, daughter and son in law Mandy and Jason Wade and son Tanner Crane Wade all of Clarkesville, Brother and sister in law Tony and Elizabeth Crane and niece and nephew Tori and Tyler Crane all of Clarkesville, and sister in law Susan Ferguson, her husband Ricky and children Martin and Ansleigh all of Lula.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM.
