Betty Laura Candler Kimsey

Funeral services for Betty Laura Candler Kimsey, age 93, of Clarkesville, will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at 11:00 AM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Rick Price will officiate with interment to follow the service in Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Kimsey passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at The Oaks at Scenic View in Baldwin.

Born in Blairsville on September 22, 1917, Mrs. Kimsey was the daughter of the late William E. and Liela West Candler. Mrs. Kimsey was a homemaker and she was a member of Clarkesville Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kimsey is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Cheston Berrong Kimsey, Sr, and son in law Buddy Moulton.

Survivors include daughter Alice Kimsey Moulton of Cleveland, sons and daughters in law Dr. Bill and Linda Kimsey of Athens and Dr. Cheston B, and Trudi Kimsey, Jr. of Clarkesville, 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 14, 2011 from 6-9 PM.
