Ronnie L. Meeks

Funeral services for Ronnie Lloyd Meeks, age 57, of Clarkesville will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Morris and Rev. James Lyons officiating. Interment will follow the service in Hillside Gardens Cemetery with full military honors provided by Grant Reeves VFW Post 7720, Habersham American Legion Post 84, and Rabun County DAV Chapter 15.

Mr. Meeks passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 following a sudden illness.

Born in Habersham County on January 24, 1954, Mr. Meeks was the son of Anita Ann Meeks Tallent and the late William Lloyd Meeks. Mr. Meeks was employed by Lee Arrendale State Prison and he was a United States Army Veteran. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Meeks is preceded in death by his father William Lloyd Meeks and grand parents Theodore and Vera Leonard and Ed and Mary Meeks.

Survivors include his wife Sandra Hill Meeks of Clarkesville, mother Anita Ann Meeks Tallent of Clarkesville, daughter and son in law Heather M. and Tim Taylor and granddaughters Madison Ann and Abigail Elizabeth Taylor all of Cornelia, sisters and brothers in law Debi and Jeff Creel of Fayetteville and Teri and Larry Lowe of Loganville, several brothers in law, sisters in law, and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 5, 2011 from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM.
