William Charles Simmons

Mr. William Charles Simmons, 60 of Gainesville died Saturday February 26, 2011 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Dawson County, Mr. Simmons had lived in Dawson and Hall County for most of is life. He was the son of the late Cecil Homer and Mary Parks Simmons. He was self employed as a truck driver and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law; Paul and Michelle Simmons, Gainesville; Mike Simmons, Texas; Lee and Rachael Simmons, Gainesville; Chris and Connie Simmons, Jacksonville, Fl., Ron and Noelle Simmons, Dahlonega; daughter, Amanda Simmons, Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law; Cecil and Wynell Simmons, Sonny Simmons, all of Dawsonville. sister and brother-in-law; Irene and Donald Reeves, Dawsonville. 15 grandchildren 1 great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mr. Simmons is preceded in death by his brothers, Wallace Simmons and Stoney Simmons; sisters, Lamour Bearden and Christine Reed.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday March 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends Wednesday March 2, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
