Virginia Helen Childress

Virginia Helen Childress, age 81, of Norcross, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011. Virginia was a member of River of Life Church of God. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bud Childress.

Survivors include her children, Vicky and Cliff Blackman of Norcross, Helen and Fred Geisel of Cumming and Lewis Childress of Stone Mountain; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby Moore of TN, Shirley Price of Winder, Barbara Mayo of TN, Dot and Paul Moore of TN and Betty and Calvin Gobble of TN; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Carol Hale of TN; grandchildren, Dorothy and Nick Smallwood, Laura and Jason Leopard, Kristy and Evan Barker and Lisa and Drew McDowell; great grandchildren, Savannah and Summer; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3rd at 11:00 am at Weaver Funeral Home Chapel in Bristol TN with Rev. Charles Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Knollkreg Cemetery in Abingdon, VA. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home, Cumming, GA on Monday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. and at Weaver Funeral Home in Bristol, TN on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
