W. T. Crocker Jr.

W. T. Crocker Jr. also known as "Junior Crocker", age 85, of Cornelia, GA, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born on June 07, 1925, in Habersham County, he was the son of the late William Tyson Crocker Sr. and the late Artha Simmons Crocker. Mr. Crocker was a member of Baldwin Baptist Church and was retired from International Furniture. He was a veteran having served his country faithfully in the United States Navy. Mr. Crocker had also worked with several local funeral homes. In his earlier years he travelled and sang with the "Crocker Brothers Quartet" and sang in many churches and singing conventions. He also enjoyed woodworking, helping others and singing with his brothers and sisters. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by sister, Madge Laverne Crocker; brother and sister-in-law, Grady and Virginia Crocker; sister-in-law, Beatrice Crocker; brother-in-law, Ernest Snyder.

Survivors include loving wife of 62 years, Edna Hill Crocker of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Truitt Franklin of Mt. Airy; brother, M.J. Crocker of Cornelia; brothers and sister-in-laws, Otis and Patsy Crocker of Greenville, SC, Robert and Latrelle Crocker of Liberty, SC, Curtis and Jeanette Crocker of Gainesville, GA; sister, Mattie Lee Snyder of Cornelia; grandson and wife, Blake and Stephanie Franklin of Macon; granddaughter and fiancée Ashley Franklin and Adam Ivester of Toccoa; several nieces and nephews and special friend and caregiver, Terry Watkins of Mt. Airy.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Scott Brown, Rev. Frank Sailors and Rev. Truitt Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-7 pm on Tuesday.
