Geneva Lou Trotter

Geneva Lou Trotter, 80, of Gainesville passed away Saturday February 19, 2011 at New Horizons North Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 22, 2011 at 11:00am from the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Benjamin Tapp and Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday February 21, 2011 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Trotter was born September 15, 1930 to the late Leonard Seabolt and Dollie Mae Humpries Savage. She was retired from New Holland Mill and she also worked along side her husband in their family business Trotters Gas and Grocery. Mrs. Trotter was a Christian and was preceded in death by her husband Gerald D. Trotter.

Survivors include her daughter Jennifer Tapp of Gainesville, son David Trotter of Gainesville, sisters Katherine L. Adams and Nell Archer both of Gainesville, brother Kenneth Savage of Braselton, granddaughter and husband Jessica and Bo Page of Gainesville, grandson Michael Tapp of Fairbanks, Alaska, granddaughter and husband Beth and David Bowdoin of Wichita, Kansas, grandson and wife Mark and Jennifer Trotter of Flagstaff, Arizona, great grandchildren Marcus, Seth, and Ava Page. A number of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives.
