Sara Alice Whitsel

Mrs. Sara Alice Whitsel, age 70, of Commerce, GA died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Whitsel was born in Jackson County, GA to the late Cecil and Lois Gary Tench. She was a member of Rogers Baptist Church and was retired from Jefferson Mills.
Mrs. Whitsel is survived by her husband, Thomas Whitsel; daughter, Sandy Cooke; son, Mike Whitsel all of Commerce; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 11 AM, Monday, February 21 at Rogers Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Carlton Peters officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday night from 6 to 8 PM.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce is in charge of arrangements.
