Vonia Rozelle Hurt Turner

Vonia Rozelle Hurt Turner, age 90, of Austell, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011. Mrs. Turner was a native of Forsyth County and lived in the Smyrna-Austell area for the past 60 years. She was employed by Owenby Manufacturing Co. in Marietta in the late 1960's and retired from McCormick Spice Company in the early 1980's. Mrs. Turner was a member of the Smyrna Second Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Turner; son, Hulet Turner and son-in-law, Richard Jennings.



Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Barbara Turner of Cumming; daughter, Sarah Turner Jennings of Austell; son and daughter-in-law Johnnie and Susie Turner of Smyrna; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two step grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.



Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2011, in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
